"Down Neck”

Directed by Rodney Gilbert, Stages Festival presents the world premiere of Newark's 350th Anniversary reading of "DOWN NECK" by Pia Wilson. This is the story of three families — Italian, Portuguese, and African-American who navigate the changing face of not only their neighborhood but that of Newark altogether. In the aftermath of the 1967 riots, friendships are challenged as the neighbors circle around "their own."
